“Officials of the Grand Bahama Port Authority (GBPA) and Grand Bahama Utility Company (GBUC) revealed that potable water island-wide will not be salt free until May of this year.”

“In an update on their efforts for island-wide potable water restoration post-Hurricane Dorian, as many of their well fields were severely impacted by the Category 5 hurricane, Philcher Grant, GBPA’s Director of Group Corporate Affairs, said that the Grand Bahama Utility Company is continuing in that vein and are anticipating full restoration one month prior to the start of the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season.”
